some very old photos of myself.
Here's my punk phase. (Circa 1990)
Notice my astonishingly cluttered bedroom. This my was first "basement bedroom" and as with most kids, the beginning of my "freedom" and self-expression. The basement was perfect for sneaking out of the house at night. Lots of good times were had in that room. I wish I could re-live this time in my life. In the picture above, I am wearing my the my grandfather's suit jacket. He ended up being buried in it a year later. I loved that jacket...
Too bad it wasn't true.
It's kinda crazy, but I remember at this time
in my life thinking that I was so fat.

i'm always late to the party as well, but i've learned that it's never ever too late!!!
great pics, sublime...i went thru the same stage as you and had my basement room as well...
and i don;'t think there was ever a period in my life where i didn't feel fat...even when i was skinny...i had a therapist who used to always tell me "fat is not a feeling"...
all the best to you my dear...
peace...
Wow, you're right! We were certainly on the same wave length when we chose our pictures this week.
You, dear Sublime were not fat either! Very Demi Moore looking. Love it.
LOL Demi Moore! That was my first thought too!
Beautiful pics!
i practically always miss photo sunday! but, it's the thought that counts, right?!
i love these - teenagers are hilarious.
*Demi Moore*?? You guys are nuts...lol. Thanks though!
I know Clandestine, I took myself soo seriously back then.
Gorgeous then and now...
I love the part about your Grandfather's jacket; I have mine's WW2 Navy dress blues (but not my own, lol).
Love the "anarachy" poster too!
Thanks for sharing!

Demi Moore is close, you look more like the chick in True Grit.
Ah, the basement bedroom...I had Slash from Guns N' Roses taped up EVERYWHERE. And yeah, I thought the fat thing of myself, too...
You were a beauty then and you are still a beauty now.
Both inside and out.
I always thought I was fat. Even when I wasn't. I think it's hardwired into our brains at birth. Once I actually became fat it was such a relief! It was one less thing to worry about.

Love the pics! The second one is my favorite. I'm digging the outfit minus the glasses. *lol*
aaawesome!
i always wished i had either punk or goth friends so i could wear all that cool stuff =P
sadly during my teens i was the introverted kid who pretended to smile and switched my face to a "serious" look as soon as the camera was about to flash. i remember doing that with all my photos when i was 14/15/16.
it's amazing how we look back and think "wow, that was me?". even scary at times huh?

I love the anarchy sign. I'm kind of jealous because I don't think I ever went through that rebellious phase. Maybe that's what I'm doing now with my procrastination in finding a job. :)
I was thinking the second picture was very Duckie from Pretty in Pink! Your teenage pictures are way cooler than mine. I was preppy and a dork!
