F*ck, Dammit, Uggghhhh!

Damn it! I'm upset and want to throw a fit....

For the last two months I have been taking a temporary break from my t-shirt business (http://www.qweargear.com) to try and get myself "together". Yesterday I emailed my #1 distributor to talk about the date that I would start business back up to full speed. He replied today and said that he's not going to pick my line back up because he hired a designer, bought equipment and has been producing designs himself.

The arrangement was perfect. He listed my designs on his website and each time he got an order, it would be emailed to me. I would make the shirts and send it to the customers directly, under his company name. At the end of the month, I would send him a bill for the orders. Simple as that.

I guess it's my own fault, but we had an understanding that my time off was just temporary...

Does anyone need a unemployed, wholesale t-shirt supplier???

OH well that sucks.

Yeah can you just put together your own website? You could use paypal as your payment options. Just a thought.

does this mean that if i order from your site, you won't make a cent? that is damn bad news. i went and took a looksee and sent one of the urls to a gender bender friend of mine.

The fact that you had an understanding makes his actions completely out of order, especially as he didn't even extend a courtesy call first.

But, truth is, "modern technology" has made so many processes like this accessible to practically everyone. (Most of them just ripping off designs and images they've lifted from elsewhere, and nobody seems to care).

"akh" is right. Open a new "blog" as a web site from which to sell direct. Paypal is very easy and secure, and you'd have zero expences 'cos you would only print according to people's orders.

(Perhaps feature the design much larger in your pictures than the actual t-shirt).

I agree with Rusty. This is opportunity knocking, and maybe it's time to walk through a new door.

Good luck!

So much for understandings!

I have no idea how to go about doing it, but there are a lot of people who have started things like this up...

If you can deal with one more "iron in the fire"!

Could you try and sell through a company like Cafe Press? Maybe you could email gay and lesbian clothing and bookstores, they may be able to buy from you in bulk.

I'm with the others here saying you should set up shop and sell direct. After, of course, you do whatever it takes to secure the next month's rent.
